Container Gardening Tips

Container gardening has it's own special requirements. It's not like going out and digging up the yard, hope the sun shines and pray for rain. There are specific do's and don'ts for container gardening. Recently, I have been asked alot what type of soil to use. I feel a mixture of 25% coconut coir with a high grade light weight potting mixture is best. I recommend adding to this mixture: worm castings or other composted matter and personally like to add a bit of blood meal and worm meal to my mixtures. If your potting mixture is too heavy, a little perlite will lighten it up!
